Prayer Shawls
PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
At the United Church of Northfield we have many women participating in our Prayer Shawl Ministry. We have distributed more than 130 shawls to people since we began this ministry in 2004.
Occasionally we meet together as a group to help each other, to share ideas, prayers, and the blessings of community knitting. Newcomers are always welcome!
When a shawl is completed it is brought to Sunday morning worship where it is presented during the offering time for a blessing along with our weekly financial giving and prayers. Shawls have been given to friends and neighbors and strangers close by and in distant places.
